Introduction:
This script provides “Equip Guardian to Actor” Features.How to Use:
If you have YSE – Guardian Menu, You must add :gpair commands to the COMMANDS list. Custom scripts: + Force Pairing: YSE.pair_guardian(actor_id, guardian_id)+ Check if paired:
YSE.paired(actor_id): Check if Actor is paired.
YSE.paired(actor_id, guardian_id): Check if Actor is paired with Guardian.

Yep. Tales of Xillia for instance, has a feature called “Link Partner” where you basically pair a character with another one to achieve special effects.

errr not sure if its a problem with your script but i only get this crash when i have a guardian equipped

Got the same problem, though I don’t use the guardian pairing script. It only happens when I win a battle and when I have more than 4 characters in the party.
Have you found a solution??
you did try put battle engine before of guardian?

I don’t suppose you have any plans to add a feature letting you restrict certain guardians to certain characters? It’d make things much more versatile ^^;
It means that Guardian A can only be paired with Guardian B and so on? Yeah, I planned to do it but not now 😛

yami, when actor whom paired with guardian leave party, the guardian still paired with the leaving actor, preventing other actor to pair with the guardian……..
oh also, i tried ur guardian summon with ur catb, it doesnt work, the guardian not being summoned….
little solution (without change script):
before remove actor whom paired with guardian, make event script:
$game_actors[actor id whom want to remove/leave from party].clear_guardians

Hi Yami, I seem to have encountered a small glitch with the pairing boost. Everything is working fine as it should (for now) but whenever I pair a guardian with an actor, the arrow that shows increments to that stat shows jumbled gibberish instead (ex. ATK 54 ==> 230). Is there a fix that you know? 🙂

Is it possible to set it so that the guardian’s appear in the pairing at specific times? (Like for example, after they have been defeated?)

It would only require the same API, we don’t do too bad a job with standards in computing. In regards to cyclists, this is actually a perfect example where it would be beneficial. The intersection controls the walk/cross lights too, not like it doesn’t know which way is safe.
I get an error trying to load a save file that has something to do with guardian.
maybe its because its not added in the scene_save?
or its my yanfly custom save script it’s not added to.
trial after trial I figured out Tsukihime’s monsterhunt script was actually the culprit for the problem… even though the error pointed out to the guardian basic script.
I really love the idea of the script, but I have no clue how to add a Guardian to an Actor. I know how to make an Actor a guardian, but not the other way around. Can you add clarify this for me?

However I have a question, I want my character, let say his name is A and he paired with Guardian called B. Can I make that whenever A is paired with B he will get custom cast animation? (I’m using Yanfly Cast Animation btw)
Is there any way to lock a guardian to a particular character?

My wife and I live in Southern Indiana ( Mt. Vernon IN.) While in our outdoor hot tub on 12-04-12 around 9:30 we saw the meteor. We could even see a smoke trail lit by the moonlight once the meteor burned out. Igt was traveling in a westward dioRitcon.ern Kingery
I can’t get it to show up on my menu. I think i’ll not correctly linking it to the custom commands switches in Yansfly Menu Ace script. Any tips, or a demo maybe 😛
Force pairing doesn’t work well, it pairs with “Unknown” (my #11 character, not a guardian) instead of with Gul (#13 character, the guardian).
How can I fix the issue? Thanks in advance.
